throwing up and pooping outside litter box

My 11 year old long hair has always had furballs, maybe 4 - 5 a year. But it the past weeks he has thrown up at least 5 times and only once did it look like a furball. Also within those few weeks he has pooped and pee'd outside the litter box in the living room. Also strange, is I caught him eating the dogs food!! 3 months ago we got a female kitten but he didn't seem to have an issue with her. They played great together. Now whenever she or the dog get near him he growls and hisses.

well what you have described does sound like an issue with the other cat ie the weeing outside the litter box. However the other symptoms, the throwing up does sound like a fur ball issue, there things you can buy that helps the cat to get rid of them see my web page here https://www.our-happy-cat.com/hairballs.html.

P.S your cat looks like my old cat Tigger. we had to brush him at least twice a week to prevent furballs.
