Tired Cat

My normally active cat Buster, is very tired and has been sleeping much more than normally. And when he looks at me, he looks sad. I noticed a flea on him today and when I combed him with the flea comb he had many fleas! I'm going to buy advantage tomorrow, but do you think it could be something besides the fleas? He's 13 years old and has been healthy all his life. Please advise! Thank you!! ?

Fleas can pass onto your cat illnesses and anemia is also a problem especially if the infestation is bad.

Your best option is to treat with advantage and comb him every day to get rid of as many of the eggs as possible. you will also have to treat the house.

Please my pages here for more on this

Hopefully once your cat is flea free he will feel much better soon.

best wishes Kate

My female cat looks very tired!!
by: Anonymous

Hallo!
My cat Cleo looks very tired doesn't eat too much and sleeps a lot. Before she used to eat dry food, but now she eats soft food and she vomits almost every day once or twice sometimes yellowist liquid, she walks very slowly and doesn't do any grooming after eating or at night like before; she lost some weight; I think she looks sad sometimes. She is 12 years old.
Thank for your attention!!

Donna, it does sound like your cat is ill but there is no way of telling what could be wrong without a vet seeing her and maybe even doing some tests.
She may have bad teeth, she may have diabetes or some other illness which can be managed with medication. In any case your cat is suffering and you really do need to get a vet to see her soon.
Sorry but there really is no other option.
