Transitioning a homeless cat

we recently took home a cat - maybe 2-3 years old - who we believe has been living on the streets. I had been feeding her at work for almost 2 years. How long should we keep her in the bedroom to adjust??? Then let her out to rest of the house and yard??

Hi
i would keep her inside for at least 4 weeks before letting her outside. Also in this time you should take her to the vets to have her vaccinated and spayed etc before letting her out again.

Make her inside life as stimulating and as happy as possible so that she will associate her new home, with fun and comfort. Please see this page for some ideas on this.
