watching sisters cat

i'm watching my sisters cat while she is away, and for some reason she will poop right outside the box.....she pees in the box most the time, but the last couple days it keeps gettin worse. she had the same problem with my sister, but they switched her litter box and she stopped. i am using that same box, but she wont use it now.

Hi this is probably an anxiety thing while your sister is away. It is a way to make herself feel more secure in her environeent. Also do you change the litter every day and take out any urine patches asap? This is another reason for act not wanting to go in the litter tray as they are very fussy about the smell.
