weird behaviour from kitten

My cat seems to be out of sorts lately, he is only young, about 6-7months, and is usually friendly, but the last week he seems nervous and stand-off-ish, and is sitting in a sort of crouch with his butt in the air a lot, he looks like he is uncomfortable, I have never seen this behaviour before, he has been wormed, and seems to still be eating. Have you come across this before?

well it certainly sounds like he is uncomfortable in that area. Difficult to say without an examination, he may have a anal gland blockage or have constipation.

Unfortunately only an examination from a vet can determine if there is an issue in that area.

Make sure he is flea free as often they will gather in that area.
