what could have happened to my stray cats mouth?

it seems my stray cat under a year old has had her jaw separated from her gums and teeth and her tongue is above it..very strange what could have happened to her?

reply
Oh my goodness this sounds terrible. I can only think that she has either been run over or hit very hard or she has fallen and hit her head and jaw on the ground.

Jaw injuries are very common after a fall in particular.

I hope your vet is able to do something for her. they can do amazing things these days.

best wishes kate

Kitten
by: Hal

a little kitten just showed up at my house and seems to have the same thing going on. his mouth appears to have the gum seperated from bottom tooth line. it looks bad. i pulled some nasty shit out of his mouth. he is in bad shape. he was infested with fleas. i washed and sprayed him then washed him again once the fleas died. i hope he will be ok. i am taking him to the vet tomorrow. he is sleeping now.
