Why the sudden change in her behaviour?

My saffy is 9, she is a loving cat but the last 2 days has become rather hissy!

When she comes for loving and cuddles (she comes to me herself) when I am stroking her lightly she becomes nasty, hitting my face, hissing then running off. She is constantly chasing our boy cat around but hates being chased herself resulting in another hissy fit.

The has gone on for 2 days. We are ignoring her when she wants treats.....but I hate it!

She is eating and drinking ok, looks well......any advice would be great!

Hi well this does sound strange. either something has happened which has made her feel a little spooked or frieghtened or she is not feeling herself. Often the first sign of illness is a change in behavior.

you are doing the right thing in ignoring her at the moment when she behaves like this as hopefully it is only a temporaray issue. However if the behavior continues I would take her for a check up at the vets just to make sure that their is no underlining illness involed.

best wishes Kate
