wierd litter box routine

my cat will only poop on one side of the litter box and pee on the opposite side. which makes cleaning the litter box impossible, especially because he pees alot, where my cat pees its extremely hard and clumped you sometimes need to chisel it out.

Myadvice would be to change the sort of litter you are using. You can get litter which is made out of paper and soft, there is also wood based ones which also are quite soft.

I know the clumping ones are eaier to remove lumps but if it is so hard that you have to cisel it out, it only makes it harder.
