Worried about my cat Smokey

Just this evening when I came home from work ,my cat Smokey was making a strange noise every 10-15 minutes. It sounds like a sneeze. It's jarring to him enough to wake him up out of his sleep when it happens. My wife said it started happening right after she fed him this evening.Could it be because of his food? An allergic reaction maybe? He's been eating the same food since we rescued him so I don't know why it would do something to him all of a sudden. Should I be alarmed? No strange signs of sickness otherwise, but this is out of the ordinary. He is an indoor cat by the way.

Hi well yes it could be an allergic reaction but it may not be the food, it could be house hold cleaners, perhaps his bowl was washed in something new. Cat Allergies are quite common see my page here

If the symptoms persist it may be advisable to take him for a check up in case something has either lodged in his nose or he has an infection.
