my cat pinto is a male domestic cat , recently we have moved house and he seems to have coped well with this but ive noticed he has become a lil skinny he normaly is , he still eats the same amount and has been wormed, the other night (about 3 ) he was in a fight with a ferral cat since ive also noticed the whites of his eyes are a light pink and a small amount of green discharge in corner of his eye , does this sound like anything serious? he is booked in for a vet check up and booster shots for fel o vax 5 and feline hiv although it will be his first feline hiv shot , do you think he could have caught the aids already? the vet appointment is in 4 days thanks very much and i hope i have detailled enough for you

Hi
Don't worry about what he may or may not have at this stage. these symptoms could be due to any number of minor illnesses. Don't forget your cat has been through a lot recently what with the move and having to fend off new cats from his new territory. often cats may lose some weight when they are a little stressed.

Its great that you have your cat booked in to see the vet, he will be able to give him a thorough check up and put your mind at rest.

In the mean time you could wipe the corner of your cats eye with a wet tissue just to get rid of the gunk and of course make sure that he always has plenty of freshwater available to drink.

best wishes Kate
