You Can't Leave Home Without Me!

What's the point in having 9 lives and no where to roam? Sure, I travel in dream time, but there are places to go and people to meet, for real. Oh well, I have visitors of the fourth- legged-kind. That's because I live on a farm. Deer come by to eat from the apple tree. Baby bunnies nibble in the grass outside our slider. Blue jays, cardinals, and Woody Woodpecker fly in for the morning brunch. I speak to them in a low chattering sound, but they know I'm harmless. I'm an indoor cat.

What excitement the morning, a lizard got in the house! I wanted to play. When I pawed him, his tail fell off wiggling on the carpet. Toying with it, I didn't notice. He got away! Mama said his tail will grow back. And that sometimes you have to lose your tail to get ahead. Whatever that means?
