Young Indoor Cat w/ strange behavior after goig to the bathroom

I have a 4 year old long hair female cat. Within the past couple of weeks the cat has twice acted very oddly after using the bathroom. She lies on her side and cries and hisses at our other cat and myself. She does try to clean her rear. I looked and did not see anything on her. Her stool does seem loose, but not overly so. I did notice a small (less than a teaspoon) amount of blood tinged mucus is the litter pan yesterday. She is slightly overweight as she steals my other cat's food. She has always been an indoor cat and always fed the same food. I can only imagine why she has developed this...guesses are she found a non-food item and ate it, she is constipated (but that would not explain the loose stool), she is having some kind of digestive problem (maybe associated to her long hair?)...I just don't know. But her behavior is very odd and a bit alarming as it is not in her nature to act this way. We simply don't have money to go spending to run scans and test and let alone trying to get her to a vet (she HATES the crate)...Any suggestions would be helpful!
