Cat behaving unusually

My cat is acting unlike her usual self. She is keeping to herself all of the time, growling when we pick her up and hold her, and it seems like she is breathing strangely. The breathing is not really uneven, but it seems slightly labored. She is eating normally, but as of two and a half weeks ago, she is also in a new environment with a new cat. She was taken to the vet and treated for biting on (but not actually eating) a lily petal about 8 or 9 days ago. Please let me know what you think may be the problem.

Hi
well normally i would say that her behavior could be down to the fact she may be anxious about living in a new home etc. However cats will often take themselves off to be alone when they are feeling unwell and the fact that she growls when she is picked up does suggest that she is in some pain or discomfort.

If i were you i would definitely take her back to see the vet again. She may have eaten something else which you are not aware of. Better to be safe than sorry i feel.

Hope she is Ok again soon

best wishes kate
