Cat Kneading

my cat will take its two front feet and start moving them back and forth on anything what does that mean

Hi well this as you have said is called kneading. It is believed to stem back to their kittens days when they would do this on their mums tummies to encourage their milk flow.
they will also do it when they are settling down to sleep, sort of as a comforting thing. I call this making their bed.

it is a normal cat thing to do.
