cat simulating chewing

by darwin

My cat is simulating a chewing motion or like she is smacking on gum, with nothing in her mouth. She's 13yrs old and vomits a lot more than before, what could be causing this? Btw, she is on thyroid meds for about a yr and a half.

Answer from kate

Hi
Well it could be associated with her thyroid condition as she may feel constantly thirsty. The other possibility is tat she may have a tooth or mouth ulcer. This would not be unsurprising due to her age.

I really think you should take her to the vets soon to have her checked out for either of these possibilities.

I hope she is ok again soon

best wishes Kate
