Cat's meow is hoarse

(manhattan beach, ca.)

my 3yr old male nuetered cat has recently been meowing with a deep gravely voice. he won't eat his normal 1-1/2 cans of food completely - he only drinks the gravy. he appears normal (no visible bites, sores, etc.) and seems to be sleeping more. what do you think is wrong with him?

This depends on how long this has been going on for. If it is only a few days it could be something as simple as as ore throuat, Little Mo gets one now and agian. However if it goes on for more than a couple of days it really does need checking out by a vet, as it could be a more severe infection which will need antibiotics to clear it up.
