cats mouth dripping saliva

by Katherine
(Belleville Canada)

My cats saliva is dripping from her mouth and she keeps licking it. she doesn't have rabies she's an indoor apartment cat. it started last night. should i be worried?

Answer by KAte
Hi It may be a sign that she has a bad tooth or that she has eaten something that has triggered this reaction. Some cats will do this when they eat or smell catnip.

If the problem is still there today then i would recommend a trip to the vets to make sure that there is noting wrong in her mouth such as a bad tooth etc.

best wishes Kate and I hope she is Ok again soon
