Drooling Kitty with Quivering Jaw

by Jessica
(Saint Cloud, FL)

When I woke up today my cat was drooling and her bottom lip is quivering but not constantly. I don't know what the problem could be but I am concerned.

Answer from Kate
yes I think it is something to look into as it is not normal behavior for a cat to drool etc.

She may have a bad tooth or eaten something bad etc.

I think it is definitely worth taking her to the vets to have it checked out especially if it continues as she may be in some pain.

Hope she is Ok again soon

best wishes Kate

The Drooling Kitty

I had a russian blue who had that problem and it turned out to be an electrical burn from chewing on a wire. She wouldn't eat, could barely meow, and what was worse was just as this was beginning I had accidentally bopped her in the jaw with the back of my hand (pulling on a difficult stitch in plastic needlepoint!!). I thought I had dislodged her jaw, I felt soooo awful. But a shot and some meds later she was just fine.
