Going Crazy!!!

We have a year and half old indoor cat who is in heat and driving us crazy!! She is being very loud and "assuming the position" for anyone (including the dog) who will give her attention. This has been going on for four days. How long will this last?

basically a cat will be in heat for one week every three of four weeks for nine months of the year. So my advice to you would be that have a happier more contented cat who does not have to go through all this frustration etc is to have her spayed as soon as possible. it is a relatively easy operation and is will stop this behaviour happening all the time.
