Kitten with lump on mouth

by Adriana
(Pasadena. Ca)

I have a 7 week old kitten and as I was scratching the bottom of his mouth. I noticed a small hard lump on the side of his mouth. It doesn't seem to hurt him, but the lump is covered in a ashy wihte color, and my kitten Is all black..???? Any clue what it could it be?

no i'm afraid not, lumps can be caused by all sorts of things from stings and scratches to tumours.

if you think it has recently appeared you could try cleaning it up and keep a close eye on it for a few days, if it remains then i would recommend a trip to the vet to be on the safe side.

best wishes kate
