Lost Rescued Cat

I have just rescued a cat. He was only living at my house for 2 days when he got out, and I have no idea where he is. He is a 4 year old neutered male. I was trying to acclimate him to my home where I have another male cat. I don't think he would be real anxious to get back here. I also don't think he has any idea as to where he is. Would he be grounded to my home at all? I have looked and looked for him. Do you think he traveled far, or do they stick fairly close? Thank you for any info about my big "blsck magic cat"!

Hi
unfortunately if the cat was only with you for a few days it is probably unlikely that he has made any attachments yet to your home. However if you found him locally then he is probably still around.

All you can really do is to ask around and put notices up etc in your area to see if anyone has seen him.

i have a web page about how to go about looking for a cat which you may find of further help.

here is the page

That happened to me once. Someone brought a trapped kitty to me and it got out of the cage. I was scared didn't know where it was but put out the trap with some tuna. Didn't catch him the first day and forgot to bring it in and caught a possum, yuk! Then saw kitty at my back deck so put trap back there and caught him! They go to the food! good luck!
