hi, my cat moses is getting old and is a affectionate lovely boy. he lost use of his left paw very sudden, and can not walk properly, he is approchable but would rather be left alone, could this be a injury or possibly some brain damage?

Hi
I would say this could be a leg or paw injury rather than a brain issue however to be honest and as you already know he needs a vet to take a look at the paw to se if there is something stuck in it or if there ahas been some bruising etc to the leg. My cat recently had a shoulder issue which meant he couldn't use one of his legs the vet gave him some anti inflammatory and pain killer drugs and he is now better. But the fact that your cat is obviously in some distress and is not wanting to be touched etc means that the sooner he can be treated the better.

I hope he is Ok again soon

best wishes kate
