my three year old female spayed cat wont stop meowing

I got a 3 year old female spayed cat from my friend two days ago. She keeps walking around the house meowing and sitting by the windows. I cant let her out because of the mountain lions, how do I get her to stop. I am very affectionate to her.

Well the quick answer is you can't really stop her meowing, she will continue to do this until she settles down into her new home and routine.

It is normal for a cat to vocalise when they are not sure of their surronding etc. All you can do is to try and make sure that her home environement keep her busy and stimulated to take her mind off her new situation.
