Our older male cat is beating up our newly neutured male.

We have a 6 year old pound kitty (Harvey) who is generally pretty laid back. 4 months ago we introduced a male Savannah kitten (Spanky). The two got along wonderfully...UNTIL we took our Savannah to get neutured two weeks ago. It has been HE** ever since. Harvey is constantly beating up (I mean chunks of hair on the floor) Spanky to the point where Spanky is now religated to our bedroom because everytime he ventures out of our room.

We're at a loss and want our "peaceful" home back!! Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated

Hi
yes this sounds like what is known as aggression trauma and is probably due to the fact that your cat has become afraid due to the vet visit and blames their fear on the other cat. this is common.

the thing to do is to try and rebuild their confidence in each other again. this is bets done in a supervised, controlled and safe environment. this process is described here

https://www.our-happy-cat.com/introducing-cats.html

it does take a little time and patience but is worth it in the end.

best wishes kate
