Spayed 15 yr old crying, howling and humping

My 15 year old female cat, who has been spayed has recently starting humping anything she can find. She crys and howls while humping. She REALLY likes the kids stuffed animals, but will also take anything she get, like socks. She only does this at night. What is going on? She has never done anything like this before.

This is strange behavior as female cats don't normally hump anyway. Night time is when cats are at their most alert and want to hunt and play etc. It sounds as if she is bored and needs more stimulation. I always recommend that a chasing game with you and her about an hour before bedtime is good and leave her lots of toys around for her at night.
If this does not work i would suggest a check up at the vets just in case their is something else wrong.
