Three week old kitten

I have a three week old kitten who my daughter rescued. She has been doing really good until today. Yesterday she was awake and running around but she did drink like four bottles in a four hour time span which is alot. Today however all she is doing is sleeping. Very lerthargic. I did give her some water but it is running right through her. I do have a heating pad under her to keep her warm. i am just hoping it is a stomach ache. I am unable to get a hold of a vet office as it is Saturday and nothing is open until Monday and right now I cant afford to take her anywhere. Please someone just give me some advice on what I can do for her.

Hi yes that is a lot of food in a short period of time and so a belly ache is quite possible. I assume you are giving her kitten formula and not cows milk as this will give her diarrhea.

All you can do is to keep her as comfortable as possible. Make sure she doesn't get too hot on the heat pad and leave fresh water near by so that she can easily get to it. Hopefully if it is just a belly ache this will pass in a day or so, if not then as you say check with the vet on Monday.

I have some pages about kitten care which you may find of further interest here

best wishes Kate
