cat has painful tail

by Candice

my cat has never ever hissed at me before but it seems that when i tough is rear end / tail, he hisses and runs away. There are no scratches or blood, so i dont think he has been fighting but its really worrying me. He can still lift it up, so i dont think its broken but its obviously really painful.

Can you help?
thanks
Candice

well I think you may have answered your own question. If it is obvious that his tail area is painful to be touched then there must be sommething wrong. The only way to cure this is to get a vet to check the area out and help put a stop to the pain.

It really isn't worth trying to guess what the problem could be. If the cat is in pain or discomfort then professional care is needed.

best wishes Kate
