Kittens claws

How old does a kitten have to be to get declawed?

Answer by Kate
I cannot answer this question as I believe it to be cruel and unnecessary to have a cat at any age declawed. I live in the UK and it is illegal to have it done here and for very good reason I believe. I understand that in the USA there are also campaigns to have it banned there too.

if you are worried about your furniture etc from being scratched etc please take a look at my web page for alternative options.

I also believe having a cat declawed is very inhumane you are taking away a part of who and what they are. They will not have a fulfilled life of hunting and climbing etc, so maybe a another pet should be considered.
