MY 13 YR OLD CAT GOT LOOSE

My 13 yr old/indoor/neutered cat ran off yesterday. he's never done this before ,and not used to this area. we moved here about a year ago and got a dog around the same time we moved in. Do you think he'll find his way back home? and will he survive in the cold weather?

Well i can't give you any definate answers but in opnion cats are very smart creatures and are very good at looking after themselves. Cats retain a lot of their natural instincts and so he is probably out there exploring the wider world. he could be away days or in some extremem cases weeks. All you can do is to let your neighbours know that he is missing and to do some looking for him in sheds and garages etc. Please see my page about missing cats here https://www.our-happy-cat.com/lost-cats.html.

As for te cold, he will probably try to find himself somewhere nice and warm to sleep but i'm sure if you keep calling him and if he can hear you he will soon return to his nice warm home.
