my cat is very old and we just recently got some new puppies. she stopped eating and when she sees food or water she barfs yellow stuff. what is wronng

It could be something as simple as a hairball which is causing her to vomit like this or it could be stress caused by the changes in the home due to the arrival of the Puppies or it could be an illness that needs treatment.

Any cat that stops eating needs to see a vet as soon as possible in my opinion. If it is a hairball the vet will b e able to help get rid of it, if it something worse then at least she will get the best care.

It is always better to be safe rather than sorry, especially with an older cat.
