Hi, I have a young (7 month old) male cat. This last week he has been having very wet poops with an excessive amount of blood. Initially I thought it was because I had happened because I had given him some tuna but then it happened again a few days later. I do plan to take him to the vet but won't be able to for a few days. I am really scared and hope he isn't terminally ill. Do you have any idea what could be wrong with him?

sorry but it is impossible to say what is causing the problem. I can understand your concern as blood i faeces can be a worry.

You are doing the right thing in taking him to the vets as soon as you can and lets hope that it is just either a mild infection or tummy upset.

take him off the tuna in the mean time and give him plain food (please see my page about cat diarrhoea here https://www.our-happy-cat.com/cat-diarrhea.html)
