Upset Nan

My male cat is 2 years old.

He has been fighting with a male feral cat that started coming into our yard. Now my cat is wandering off for several days at a time all around the neighbourhood annoying cats and children.
He has "jumped" and scratched three of my grandchildren.
Until recently he accepted and enjoyed me doing some Reiki with him.
Will his new behaviour stop if he is desexed?

Answer by Kate
My answer would be yes. the whole wandering and aggression behavior is because he is a Tom cat. Having him desexed will calm him down and make him want to wander less. Also it will help to reduce any unwanted kittens appearing in the neighbourhood and so causing more cat fight. the operation is fairly simple and is relativily inexpensive, it is well worth doing for both your cat who will be less frustrated etc and also for the family who will have a much happier calmer pet cat.
