6 year old male cat wobbly and falling over.

by Carol

Our male cat that lives outside came onto the porch yesterday morning for his breakfast and was wobbly and when my husband reached down to pet him--he fell over. He seems a little better this morning, but still weak, but was hungry. What could be wrong with him?

Hi well it sounds to me like either he has suffered an injury to one of his legs by falling or being hit by something or he has a neurological condition which is effecting his balance.

Either way I really do think your cat should see a vet and have a check over. Cats can be very good at covering up their distress or pain and often we don't notice until things get a lot worse.

I hope he is Ok

best wishes Kate
