Cat has lost weight of her back end

My female cat is about 5/6 years old she is overweight but a happy cat but the last week or so i have noticed that she has started to lose weight on her back end and also the inside of her back legs have started to lose the fur off them it looks like new fur she is otherwise fine up to date on worm tablets a few fleas but nothing you don't find on a cat....

Hi this definitely does not sound right. the loss of weight is the most concerning and really does need to be checked by a vet. It may require some blood tests to determine a cause.

the loss of fur would also suggest either an allergy or a parasite problem. please see my page here for more on this here

Whether or not if the two condition's are connected or not is hard to say and that is why it is very important that you take her to see a vet as soon as possible. If too much weight is lost, she will also loss strength in her hind legs and that could cause her to fall.
