Cat refuses to come in the house

Hi,

I was wondering if you could advise me.

Since we have come back from my holiday of 2 weeks (though we had people comming in daily to feed them etc).

My female 15 year old cat is only comming into the house when she is called to be fed. Then she seems very shy to come through the cat flap, then as soon as she has eaten she goes straight back out again!

She is spending all day and night in the garden under a tree. She never leaves the garden.

This has only happened since we got back from our holiday. She used to only go out to have a wee etc. She has never been a cat to stay out. Its almost like she is upset with us for leaving her.
She has also gone a bit deaf recently.

She is still a very affectionate cat, but I do not undersatnd this behaviour.

We also have a female 8 year old & female 7 year old cat.

Please have you any ideas why she could be doing this? She is eating ok not losing weight.

Many thanks

Hi
It may simply be a case that her routine has been upset and she feels unsettled by it all.

you could try keeping her inside for a few days to try and help her relax in the house again if you wish.

I don't know how long you have been back from holiday but if it has only been a few days then she may slowly relax as she realizes your back and that things are back to normal.

best wishes kate
