Cats Movin' in together

by Candace
(Washington)

My cat Edward is three years old and my boyfriends cat Mayley is fourteen. He is moving in with me (I'm pregnant and we're having a baby soon) and we want them to get along. My cat use to live in a house with seven other cats, so I'm not too worried about him adjusting. He's had to do it before. But Mayley has always been the only kitty in the house so I'm concerned how she will do. Help?

My advice is to make sure you take the cats through the introduction technique described here. it is the best way to help your cats get to know each other and build confidence without the fear of attack. You will find the technique here

Hi!

I've just introduced a kitten to a resident cat in our house. I know it's not the same as two adult cats, but you could have a read on http://allmycatneeds.com/blog/category/kitten-2/

Good luck!
