fixed 5 year old male cat pees on clothes,furniture and carpet

I have a 5year old fixed male cat. He is peeing on my carpet,furniture,and clothes. When he is doing this he is crying. Can u tell me what his problem is. I am ready to find him a new home as i cant keep up with this problem. I always keep a clean litter box to.

Hi sounds to me like he may be distressed or anxious about something. this sort of behavior can be an indication of anxiety which could have many causes from territorial threats to just plain old anxiety caused by changes in the home etc.

the behavior is known as middening if it is purly behavioral. Please see this page about this

It may be a good idea also to have him checked by a vet first to rule out any possible underlying health issues which may be causing this.
