help cat wont let me pass

there is a stray cat that has been sitting out side my house for days now it could even be weeks.. now it stops me from walking up my stairs like it moves it self to block me from going up the stairs..im not sure what the cat wants.. i had someone come and move the cat so i can walk up my stairs(i was afraid it the cat would have scartched me) and then the cat ran pass the person and still blocked me from walking in my house. it was kinda weird just curios as what this could mean

well i really couldn't say apart from the fact that it sounds like it likes you and wants attention from you. perhaps he wants to adopt you for his owner and is hoping that you will take him home and feed him etc.

i really don't think you can read anything else into this behavior.

Poor cats may need a home if it is a stray. Perhaps if you cant look after him you could contact a animal charity to see if they could rehome him.
