Help my cat is so thin

My 8 year old kitty has gone to her monthly checkup recently, the vets checked her over and said she was fine, she is all up to date on shots, eating well, no parasites etc.(though we didn't get the blood test)... But she is getting skinnier and skinnier! She feels so light everytime I pick her up! She lays around most of the day, more than she ever did before, just lays there and sleeps. She acts like shes not feeling well, but I have no idea what could be wrong. Please help!

My advice would be to take her back to the vets and ask for a blood test to be done to check her for illness. You will probably need the full blood check which is more expensive im afraid but will check for all sorts of things, thyroid problems, diabetes, heart problems etc.
there are many possibilities for the cause most of which is treatable plus theres no point in me unnecessarily alarm you. Have the test done and find out for sure.
