is my cat dying

my 18yr old house cat never leaves the house and now she is crying at the door to leave she has a very strange cry i have to pick her up to move she's not eating or drinking much & shes been wanting to lay in warm places is she trying to leave us to go die?

Hi well this is difficult to say and the only way to find out for sure is to take her to see a vet to see if she does have an illness etc.

When ever a cat stops eating etc as normal then it is definitely an indication that something could be wrong and needs further investigation by a vet.

She may be in distress so the sooner you can take her to the vets to find out for sure the better. 18 is quite old and they can start to suffer from similar old age illnesses as we do and so her behavior may simply be associated with that.
