Kitties just starting fighting

I have a girl kitty & a boy kitty. I got them both at the same time from a shelter and they have lived happily together for 3.5 yrs until recently. They seem to be stalking each other, hissing, growling and fighting lately. What would cause this??? It is very distrubing. They're eating together one minute and screeching the next?! HELP!

Hi well this could be a case of what i known a aggression truama. This is when something scres one of the cats and they take ou this fear, sort of blame it on the other cat even if they had nothing to do with it.

Your cats need some time to regain their confidence in each other again in a safe environment. The best way to do this is to take your cats through the introduction process again.
