my 12 week old kitten has a swollon anus

I just resucued a 12 week old kitten, she is on solid food but the ppl i got her from said she is just weaning off mom. Her anus is red and swollen, she does clean it. HELP!

At twelve weeks she is definitely at the weaning stage and so she may be going through a period of adjustment. Ie her digestive system is having to get used to solid food.

This may be accusing her some diarrhea or constipation issues and this could be the cause of the redness.

Make sure the kitten gets plenty to drink ie fresh water or special cats milk (not cows milk as they cannot digest lactose which can also cause diarrhea).

Hope fully her system will settle down soon.

your only other option is to take her to the vets to make sure she does not have worms etc.
