Other Cats and Bad Behavior

Hi Kate,


Do you know why my 2 male cats go balistic whenever they see a very mild neighborhood cat walk across our front porch?

Sometimes it comes up to the windows, and then they really go nuts.

Hi yes the answer is simply that he is on their territory and they want to defend it. this is normal behavior for cats. if they are not neutered they will be more inclined to go really nuts and may start to spray etc when they see the other cat. but cats will always want to defend their territory and even seeing another cat is enough of a threat to them.

unfortunately there is not much you can do about this.
