Waggles And The Fox

by Lucie Prosser
(Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire )

Waggles went out one night
It was very warm and sunny
Her paws sank in the grass
The air was breezy
And it seemed to be perfect
Then she saw an unknown figure
In the garden nearby where she sat
She walked towards the figure
To realise that it was a fox
She did not try to turn or run
For she stood up to full height
And hissed and spat
Protecting her territory
Every step of the way
It was the fox who seemed afraid
For he turned and ran away
Waggles was victorious
And came home safe and sound
