our cats pee and itchy butt

our kitten whos about 6 months old has started licking her butt alot, and now shes doing this whole thing where she just sits in her litter box and doesnt actually pee. is this worms or could it be something more serious?

Shes not an outside cat and as far as i know she hasnt gotten into anything.

yes it could be worms as they can be transmitted via other parasites such as fleas. have you treated her for fleas and worms yet? if not i would recommned doing this now as fleas could also be the issue. Even though she does not go out they can be transmitted to the house via other means and lay dormant until a cat comes past.

Have you seen her pass water and go to the loo as normal? If not then their may be a problem with her bowels or bladder which would need checking out by a vet.
