My cat is around 8 months old and all he wants to do is eat, and drink water. He is gaining a bunch of weight and i dont know if this could become a serious problem. Do you know what this might be caused by? My cat has been dewormed so now im stuck...

Hi
Some cats will eat and eat if they are allowed too. i have two cats and one of them i have to make sure he eats only a certain amount as he too would eat and eat and become over weight.

My advice is to weigh out your cats food every day if you are feeding him dry and give him this amount spread through out the day and make sure he has plenty of fresh water available (not cows milk). If you are feeding him wet food check on the can how much is recommended for your cats age and stick to that amount.

he will complain at first but he will adjust to the new diet my two did and they are fine healthy cats.

There are some conditions which will cause a cat to eat and eat but at his age i would be doubtful that he had it. if he did have worms he may still have a few and also he will have to get used to a lower amount of food to eat then he had got used to.

Stick with it.

I have some kitten pages on my site which you may find of further interest here
