Shelby

Hi there, Shelby is 12 yrs old now and she is having what looks like spasms all over, not just her back.

She is always biting and grooming herself like something is biting her.
She is an indoor cat with the occasional trip outdoor, but no intereaction with other cats.
What would be the problem and the fix to stop this agitation of hers.

Reply from Site Owner Kate:
This could be an allergy. My cat was just the same, biting herself and twitching like mad. It termed out that she was allergic to flea bites even though she did not have fleas, one must have jumped on her outside. Any way we had to take her to the vets for an injection and advice. It really would be best to get your cat seen by a vet as he may have to do some skin tests etc to find out what the problem is.
