Why did my kitten, Doogie pass away?

Hi I was just curious if you had any insight on how my 12 week old kitten passed away. He was updated on all his shots and had leukemia testing but he died tonight. The only thing odd that struck me was last night I went to go grab him from the chair, he had just woken up and he had peed himself. It was a full puddle of pee so I thought it was maybe a dream he had. But tonight we found him on the couch and he had deficated and was completely limp, but he was still breathing. He stopped breathing minutes later.

I am so sorry for your loss.

It is impossible to say what may have caused your kittens death. he may have been born with a weak heart or other congenital defect. he may have suffered from fits or some other brain disorder. or he may have eaten something poisonous. But all these are pure guesses and to be honest there is no point in speculating at this stage.

There are also viruses which may have causes this too. Kittens can be so susceptible to illness during their first few months.

I hope that your loss won't prevent you in the future from re homing another kitten, there are just too many who need good homes like yours.
