10 week old Kitten

Hello,

My fiancé and I recently rescued a stray 10 week old kitten from my mom’s back yard. We have had her for 6 days today.

She still cries a little bit but last night she saw her reflection in our glass entertainment center and the cry was different, it was more internal. And it broke out hearts. So much so we contemplated getting a new entertainment center with no glass.

When she was crying we wanted to scoop her up and hold her but she was too far back in the entertainment center that we couldn't reach her.

What do we do if this happens again? Should we pick her up and kiss her?

Please help..thanks

If you want but i dont think she is any distress she probably thought it was another cat and may have been startled. This is all part of the learning curve for such a young kitten.

Part of being a good cat owner is knowing when to let your cat be a cat and discover the world etc on its own. we can't protect them from everything and they really do need to be able to build up their own confidence to face the world.
