6 month old cat vomited for the first time

My 6 month old kitten/cat vomited for the first time this morning, it was slightly lumpy and light brown also it was just a small amount, however she seems full of life, running around, playing, licking and purring.....she is on dry food Purina Kitten food, also she has the kitten wet food twice a week Friskies kitten food. Am very worried as she has been and seems to be very healthy.

Thank you

Hi
Ros
I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. Cats just like children and some adults will have bouts of vomiting caused by various things such as eating too much, too quickly, a slight tummy bug or in the case of cats, hairballs too.

Just keep an eye on your cat over the next few days to make sure that the vomiting does not continue or other symptoms appear.

i have a web page on my site about cat vomiting which you may find of further interest here

best wishes kate
